The Smartest Woman from Antiquity was Arguably the Most Evil. Learn from Her & Then Don't Be Like Her.
If I had to write a companion piece to this, I would write about Penelope, Helen's virtuous foil. Penelope was shrewd, resourceful, and witty, but she did so out of virtue. I think she was less smart than Helen, only because when a woman is virtuous, she has less need of contrivance and trickery. So while I think today's ladies should learn from Penelope's chastity and devotion, they can also learn a great deal by studying Helen's wiles so they are prepared for the dangers of the world in which they will have to survive.
